The mission of the Graebner Parent Teacher Organization is to support our children and their educators by providing a variety of educationally enriching opportunities and fun activities for our children within the school environment.
Who we are
The GPTO is open to all parents and guardians of Graebner students, and all Graebner teachers and staff. We strive to create an open and inclusive organization, with monthly meetings open to all (childcare is always provided).
Please check our Meetings page for upcoming meeting times and dates.
The GPTO board has numerous volunteer opportunities and committee chair positions available and we welcome your involvement!
Autumn Jacobs, President
During the day, I work as a Graphic Designer /Photographer and strive to be creative outside the office as much as possible. I've been married for almost 2 years and we have a 8 year old daughter who loves to irish dance.
When I found the GPTO, I thought this might be fun and could share my skills to benefit my daughter's school. Well I'm onto my forth year - from Playground Committee Chair, to Secretary and now into my second term as President. I'm looking forward to the 2021-22 school year in whatever form it takes. Hopefully returning to ways of the past but new adventures as well.
This will be my third year on the board as Vice President. I work as a preschool assistant for Schwarzkoff Elementary and also a lunch mom for Graebner Elementary a few days a week. I have been married to my husband for 11 years now. We have boy/girl twins that are 9 years old and in 4th grade. We all just started karate and everyone enjoys it. We all enjoy walks and bike rides.
I am a mother of a Graebner 3rd grader. I served two years as Co-Vice President prior to my new position as Secretary. I have been involved with the GPTO since our Kindergarten year chairing events such as Mother-Son and Trunk or Treat.
I work in retail as a sales manager. In my free time, my son and I enjoying being outside, going to sporting events and traveling.
I look forward to another year of sharing my talents with Graebner families and staff.
Jenna Wiland, Treasurer
I bring over 20 years of business world experience from my part-time day job helping companies of all sizes with reporting, administration and Federal grant compliance. I look forward to helping the Graebner PTO this year with their decision making and fundraising through timely and useful financial information.
This is my 11th year with a student attending Graebner Elementary School. This is my fourth year as a GPTO officer but first as its Treasurer. I have 4th and 6th grade Graebner Dolphins plus a 10th grader at Henry Ford II High School. My patient husband Brian jokes that PTO is my biggest hobby, supported by my second biggest hobby as a (caffeinated) tea drinker.
My favorite parts of volunteering here are the joy of students, staff and their families making memories at GPTO events, the friendships I’ve made, and marveling at how participating with GPTO has stretched me to grow in ways I never would have imagined on my own.
